31 Days of Witchcraft: Day 1 -How did you discover your path?
I discovered my path one October night about eight years ago, when I was 13. I was laying in bed, and I had this weird calling to get up, and start learning about occult, and esoteric things. I do not know why, or what called me to do this, but I followed it anyway, and I went to my computer, and started learning, and researching things. This calling is what started me down this path, and allowed me to learn, grow, and experience these amazing things for myself.
31 Days of Witchcraft: Day 2 -How long have you been practicing witchcraft?
I have been practicing for 8 years, since I was 13, I am now 22, and I hope to continue for all my life. So I haven’t been going for that long my friends, but I have learned a lot in my time. ^^
31 Days of Witchcraft: Day 3 – What kind of witch are you?
The short answer for this would be an eclectic witch. The long answer would be as it stands right now would be a new age, syncretic, eclectic, semi-secular, neo-pagan, spiritualist, pantheist, ominist, monist, dualist, polytheist witch. I guess I could also be considered a POC witch, solitary witch, green witch, tea witch, tech witch, elemental witch, Omni witch, along with many other things, but I’m still working on an exact label.
31 Days of Witchcraft: Day 4 -What specific path/tradition do you follow?
I am not part of any specific tradition, and the path that I am walking is for knowledge, understanding, truth, and enlightenment. I wish to learn all I can get my hands on, and to document it, and to find out how it is connected, and works. Because of this I take a look at everything, and try to use
rationalism, empiricism, philosophical skepticism, and philosophical idealism, along with some other stuff in order to understand it on a more fundamental level.
I do not follow any particular form of ethical system, that is not opposed upon me by a governing group, or higher system that will result in negative consequences. So I follow the laws of my country, and how I should act according to standard society ethical paradigms. As for morals I personally just try to make sure everything is going “good” for everyone, and that me, and everyone is happy, in their own subjective regards, unless it interferes with somebody else’s happiness, or well-being, but then it will depend upon the situation. Morals are subjective, “Good”, and “Evil” do not exist, and the only laws that you can fully adhered too are the laws that cannot be broken. My views on these subjects have changed by practicing witchcraft, and I do feel I understand more about these understandings now for practicing, because of how I have interacted with them.
Yes I do practice divination. The types of divination I practice are astrology (the part that can be used for divination), numerology (the part that can be used for divination), bibliomancy, stichomancy, rhapsodomancy, cartomancy, clairsentience, dowsing, and scrying, among a couple other things I’m probably forgetting.
31 Days of Witchcraft: Day 8 – Would/Do you do readings for others? Why or why not?
Yes sometimes I do do readings for others, and I have done it in the past on this blog. I will probably do it again in the future when I’m a bit less busy. I do love to do readings for other people though because it helps me train my skills in divination, and I find it essential for learning such skills.
I do believe in Supernatural, and paranormal things, but I believe they are a lot more normal, and natural, then we give them credit for.
I believe when a being dies if it has unfinished business it will manifest as a ghost on the etheric plane of existence, and it will not be able to pass through the veil until there is some form of closure. If a being does not have any unfinished business then it will die, and pass on through the veil into the astral plane from here I believe the entity will return to their higher self which will usually be located in the casual plane of existence. After the entity reconnects with their higher selves to my understanding they will do one of three things. The first thing they could do is reincarnate into another physical life, the second thing they could choose to do is spend some time in the higher spiritual planes of existences in a place, or realm of their choosing, or the third thing would be to return to source, but this is usually only done after they have learned all their lessons through their experiences on the lower planes. That is my belief simplified on the afterlife.
Yes my family does know, and they hate me for it. It’s primarily because they don’t understand what it is, and they are fearful of it. Some of my friends do know, and they have practice a little bit, and can understand some magickal concepts.
I will teach my kids whatever they want as long as they want to learn it. I’m not going to force them to do anything to follow any particular practice, or religion, so if they are cool with it I will teach them whatever they want to learn. I will not force them to learn just, because they are my children, and hopefully we will have a respect for each other’s practices, and understandings if we do not practice the same thing. I really believe that letting them discover their own path is a very important part of their own path, and should not be something that I simply just take away just because I found this in my lifetime.
31 Days of Witchcraft: Day 13 – Matron Goddess [If you have one. If not, list goddesses that you favor]
list of main goddesses that favor me when I actually work with deities: The Morrigan, Hekate, and La Sirène.
my favorite Pantheon would have to be the egyptian pantheon, though I don’t work with them . Though my knowledge is very limited on it, and I wish I knew more about the pantheon. I just like the energy it gives off.
31 Days of Witchcraft: Day 16 -What are your Sun/Moon/Rising signs?
My sun sign is Pisces, my moon sign is Libra, and my rising sign is Taurus.
My favorite animal is the wolf. This could be for many different reasons this could be, because I am a wolf therianthrope, it could be because I like the energies of the animal, or could be for a number of many other different reasons, but wolves are really cool animals.
31 Days of Witchcraft: Day 24 – What’s your familiar?
No, I do not have a familiar, I would like one I guess.
My favorite book would have to be any the Temple of Witchcraft series
My Favorite witchcraft website would have to be www.chaosmatrix.org Even though that is more for chaos magick sources, and it is pretty outdated probably at this point. I find a lot of those resources still very helpful at least in the study of chaos magick.
31 Days of Witchcraft: Day 27 – Famous witch that you favor?
I’ve been staring at this question for a while, and I couldn’t think of any famous witch that I actually admire. There are many good practitioners from many different time periods but none of them I actually really favor. So the answer to this question would have to be I have no idea. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My favorite divination tool would have to be tarot. Personally just the standard Rider Waite deck, because nothing beats the basics for me at least.
My favorite altar tool would have to be the athame. This is primarily because I like to say that word, and it is because I like to direct energy with the point of a blade.
This is definitely the oddest question on the 31 days of witchcraft challenge. The moon phase is waxing crescent, and it’s Illumination is 45%
