ASMR which stands for autonomous sensory meridian response can be used in working to facilitate calmness, and altered states of consciousness. ASMR is a tingling sensation that is triggered in certain individuals through specific stimuli, known as triggers, and these triggers commonly take the form of audible, or visual triggers. The sensation of ASMR relaxes the body, comes the mind, and slows the heart rate being able to load the individual into a deep altered states quickly, if they are affected by ASMR.

Some common things that triggered this are:

  • Whispering.
  • Quiet repetitive sounds.
  • Watching mundane tasks.
  • Listening to people explain concepts, or simply rambling.
  • Listening, and watching eating, and drinking.
  • Listening to mouth sounds.
  • Slow-moving objects one can focused on
  • Receiving personal attention.
  • Various types of role-playing.

If you experience ASMR it can be used to bring you into a calm state, so that you will be able to meditate, relax the mind, and exist within an altered state of consciousness in which you will be able to work from. You would also be able to associate different ASMR triggers with different constructs, and metaphysical properties allowing you to think, or connect those triggers to certain states of consciousness, or intentions that you would like to bring forth into your experience, and could be used to help you manifest your desires through culminating focus, and energy towards that desire before, or after the practices of ritual. Helping your mind to be in the correct mindset for your working, while also allowing you to become calm, and relaxed. You are also able to find ASMR tied around spiritual subjects that can help promote meditation, hypnotization, or energetic healing. ASMR can be found in a lot of places all over the internet, but it is most prevalently found on YouTube.
