Ellis was created to rage war on reality, to cause chaos, and to make the world a more magickal place. There are many ways that you can go about using the Ellis sigil in your practice and can be a very powerful sigil that can greatly improve your practice if you know how to use it.

One of the main purposes it was created was to link magickal locations of power together, so that they would be able to use the power from those magickal locations in other workings. Every representation of Ellis creates a node in the Ellis Network, which will be linked to other nodes, and by drawing the Ellis sigil you can draw power from the network.

According to the DKMU the original creators of the Ellis sigil, it is advised to “Use the Linking sigil to tag places, things, or concepts that exude [magical] energy or have some resonance that would be a useful and productive resource for the LS network: sacred places, between places, places of power, or places where people release a lot of energy.”

It is important to remember that the Ellis sigil does not need to be charged, and activated to work. Once the representation is created it will begin working this is because of all the power that it has stored up from its use.

It is also important to remember that the intention of the individual who is creating the physical representation is the one who will dictate the sort of effects one will achieve with its use. Because of this one can draw the Ellis sigil with their desire in their head then the sigil will go forth to also bring forth your Desire, but unexpectedly, if the Ellis sigil is drawn without intention is said to cause chaos. The Ellis sigil does not need to be visible to work, it only needs to be present.

One of the last ways that you can use the Ellis sigil is by interacting and communicating with Ellis the thought-form that inhabits the Ellis Network.
