The four basic qualities also referred to as the sensible qualities, and the elemental qualities are the four properties of hot, dry, cold, and wet. Each one of these qualities has its own correspondences, that are unique to them, and work in accordance with the other three qualities in order to facilitate dynamic harmony within the paradigm. Hot, and cold are the primary qualities, or active qualities, and Dry and Wet are the secondary qualities, or passive qualities. Hot, and cold are the primaries, because they have the ability to go through the process of creating dryness, and wetness from their existence, or action. Hot, and cold are also sometimes referred to as first qualities, and dry, and wet are sometimes referred to as second qualities. Hot, and dry is connected to Damakna. Cold, and wet is connected to Dasakna.

Hot, and cold are on a polarity spectrum, and dry, and wet are also on a polarity spectrum. These two polarities spectrums intersect like a cross influencing each other with their actions, and their existence in different constructs, and environments. The element of fire is hot, and dry, the element of air is hot, and wet, the element of Earth is cold, and dry, and the element of water is cold, and wet. Through this understanding we could understand more about the metaphysical properties of each element, and how they relate to each other. By understanding these four qualities you will be able to understand the different interactions between constructs, and how you will be able to use one of these qualities to affect another one.

These four qualities can also help to understand the process of figuring out the elemental metaphysical properties of a construct by examining the qualities that it expresses, so that you are able to connected back to the elements. If you were to do this with something like the general concept of a sword, the sword would come out to be hot, and dry. the sword is hot because it is active while being swan, and it is dry, because it is solid, and has a hard to find form to it, which would make it come out to the element of fire, because of how the qualities connect.

It is also connected to the elements of fire, and air. hot is also connected to high places, or the above.

The things that fall into the quality of cold have low kna, and low activity in their being. Cold is very slow, constricted, and condense. Cold is cool, dark and stagnant. Cold can go through the process of creating wet through its activity. It is also connected to the elements of earth, and water. Cold is also connected to low places or the below.

Dry can be created from the activity of the quality of hot. Dry is hard, brittle, parched, or solid. Dry has the properties of Separation, objectivity, and discreteness. It is also connected to the elements of fire, and earth.
